BPOS outage: joining the club

Since I have never been hesitant about talking about all those gaffes that Google and Amazon have experienced with their various cloud-based service offerings, I thought I might as well also link to the latest Microsoft outage: the business oriented Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) has gone down twice in the past month, both times apparently victim to networking issues at the Microsoft data center.

Even though it is Microsoft this time, I'll take the same tack I do with the others: growing pains are inevitable, the outages may be inconvenient but the services probably still represent a high uptime per dollar value than internal services of the same caliber, and if anything this is probably a faster resolution than most customers would have seen should their internal systems suffer a similar breakdown.
