Congnizant recently announced its acceptance into the IBM SOA Specialty program after successfully completing IBM's rigorous SOA technical and business requirements.Cognizant was one of the early founding members of the SOA community initiative and one of the first SI's to be accepted into the IBM SOA Specialty partner program.

Cognizant's vision for a Service Oriented Enterprise service offerings includes RightStartSOA and SafeRouteSOA, a set of solutions designed to accelerate and ensure SOA adaptation without disturbing the existing IT eco system. They address the key areas of business process reengineering, application integration, business collaboration and services based information sharing.

With this achievement, Cognizant's solution offerings integrate with the IBM SOA Foundation, a single, integrated platform that combines the industry's top application server and integration capabilities. "Cognizant consultants have participated in IBM SOA education and have leveraged it to drive SOA opportunities with IBM Worldwide," said Sandy Carter, vice president, SOA and WebSphere, IBM Software Group.
