Tablet PC in hospitals
...Overlake Hospital Medical Center...seems to be a leading(most talked about) example in the use of Tablet PCs (other technology) in hospitals.....in part due to a video by the microsoft tech evangelist "Scoble". I recently watched this video at the channel9 site, the video is basically and interview with the CIO of Overlake "Kent Hargrave", Though I found the first part of the video a little slow, there were definitely a few nuggets there. Check it out.
Last month Forbes carried a piece on thier usage of Wireless & VOIP, "We wanted to get the computer to the patient," says Kent Hargrave, the hospital's chief information officer. "We also had a 'build it, and they'll come' mentality in terms of finding ways to use the network."
