HDI is conducting Government Forums, quarterly events focused on important topics related to government agency support center issues. The topics covered in the Government forums are chosen by the participants, presented by industry experts, and include group discussions and brainstorming sessions. The next forum will occur in November 2005, and more details can be located here.

Government help desk support. This must be a very challenging area to work given the prevalence of custom applications in the overall sector. That said, polishing customer support in the government sector can leave lasting impressions with people, perhaps even more so than the private sector (because good customer support is expected as a matter of course in the private sector).



So have some patriotic thoughts coming off the 4th of July (and remember that government covers local and federal levels too)!
