Software as a Service - Part VIII

Filed in archive SaaS by Creative Weblogging on March 22, 2005

A different viewpoint: The CIO

On the panel:

- Stephan Schambach, CEO, Demandware- Edwardlinks Shenderovich, CEO, Quantum Art- Axel Schultze, CEO, Blue Roads- Gerhard Eschelbeck, CTO, QualsysHighlights:

- Axel marks a good point PRM (Partner Relationship Management) can only work if it connects partners outside the organization (so in-house installations make sense at all)

- Axel marks another good point - the only differentiation for many providers will be to provide exceptional service

- Stephan highlights the instant customizability Demandware provides.

- This panel talks about that software gets updated daily (we started with 2 per year [salesforce.com] and every week [one panel before]). Good we don't have another tech panel today :-)

Conclusion: Pretty good speakers but they did not really get to the point to good. Moderation could have been a bit better I must say. Also we are here for 8 hours now and the attention span of most attendees is at the edge.
