SAP recently announced the SAP World Tour 2006, a series of events in 76 cities around the world engaging local businesses in direct dialogue on how SAP software can help to drive innovation and run business processes more efficiently.

Participants would be provided an opportunity to gain firsthand insight from SAP executives, partners and local peers into key focus areas, including solutions for midsize companies, industry-specific applications such as SAP for Retail, SAP for Banking and SAP for Public Sector, as well as next-generation software leveraging enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA). SAP also announced the SAP NetWeaver Technology Tour, targeted at technical audiences, and bringing SAP technology experts and thought leaders to the worldwide developer community.

Launched in early June, the SAP World Tour is expected to draw a total of 30,000 attendees by the end of 2006. To date, more than 3,000 customers and prospects are expected to have attended a number of events in countries such as Germany, Slovenia and saudi arabia.
