SAP Acquisition of Outlooksoft predicted - Forrester

SAP's acquisition of Outlooksoft found mention in an Forrester Report from March, I was just reading the Forrester report titled "Hyperion Acquisition Boosts Oracle's Position In Business Performance And BI" , one of the highlights in the takeaways section is as follows:

Oracle's acquisition of Hyperion widens the gap with SAP in business performance solutions to the point that SAP must consider another acquisition to improve its product mix, particularly for planning, budgeting, and forecasting. cognoslinks would seem to have a lot of appeal, but SAP's style is not to make major acquisitions but rather to "tuck in" smaller point solutions and technology components. OutlookSoft, with a strong Excel-based budgeting solution, is an intriguing possibility.

Interestingly Paul Hammerman one of the Authors of this report has started a blog - Check it out here.
