Run it like a startup

Filed in archive Management by Scott Wilson on October 14, 2008

You may already have seen this, but then again you may not have, if you aren't much concerned with startups or venture capitalists (and let's hope for your sake that you are not right now!) so I thought I would throw up a link. Last week, a presentation that noted venture capital firm Sequoia Capital put on for startups it is funding to spell out some of the current issues facing the economy and methods for surviving them leaked out. While none of the information provided is anything that a competent business consultant couldn't tell you, it is a good back-to-basics sermon that even CIOs from the mighty and powerful might do well to reflect on.

Only the slide deck is available, but you will get the drift.
