Richard Li: The emerging Asian business tycoon

Richard Li is the younger son of successful entrepreneur Li Ka-Shing and heir to a $9 billion empire. Currently he is the chairman and executive director of PCCW Limited and Pacific Century Group. He came into limelight at the age of 26 when he signed a $525 million deal with Rupert Murdoch. He has been featured in the TIME Digital Cyber Elite Top 50.
He is a Stanford University graduate who started Pacific Century Group in 1993 with interests ranging from property to insurance to high tech. His latest venture is a media company which offers interactive TV and Internet service in Asia. Under a joint venture with Intel, the company will be offering financing and technology in exchange for a 40% stake. Now he is in search of companies which can make websites and tools for accommodating Asian users.
He has a bright future among the young Asian entrepreneurs who are creating an impression around the globe.
