Premier 100 IT Leaders - ComputerWorld (Contd)

Computerworld hosted slides (part of its Premier 100 IT Leaders 2006) offering statistics on IT projects, spending priorities and staffing for this year's Premier 100 IT Leaders. (Here)

Here are few key points from the slides:

  • Out of the 100 IT Leaders, 83 are Men & 17 Women, With an average age of 47.

  • 13 of the honorees are from Virginia, making it the most represented state on the list, followed by Illinoislinks (12), Texas (10), New York (7) and Ohio (6).

  • 1,419 Average size of IT staff.

  • 44% Increased their staff size in the past year (on average, by 20%).

  • 20% Decreased their staff size in the past year (on average, by 12%).

  • 36% Had no change in their staffing size.

  • Almost two-thirds of the Premier 100 have decided who will take their place.

  • More than half of the 2006 IT Leaders stewarded IT budgets that grew year over year, on average by 13%

  • ERP installations topped the list of projects in the pipeline.
