this is a joke. all it includes is license cost and setup fees. there's no accounting for management of the system, database administration, upgrade costs, network administration and hardware, redundancy, etc.

PN , Good point that some of the additional costs have been missed out, i have sent out a mail to the company to try and get thier views on the same, but what are your thoughts, in terms of teh cost differntial on the other heads, Also one cost which might prove a deal maker/breaker is the integration costs.

We created the CRM cost comparison calculator with the intention of bringing awareness to the cost savings companies can achieve by investing in open source software. As your blogger points out, there are other costs associated with an on premise CRM deployment. We agree! Our calculator allows users to account for these costs by inputting an estimated number of modification and customization hours. That being said, does your blogger realize that open source CRM can be purchased as an on demand solution as well? Wait for our Version 2.0. It's really going to be interesting!
