EDS has moved to complete the acquisition of a majority stake in MphasiS BFL Limited, one of the fastest growing India-based IT services providers. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of June, subject to administrative settlement procedures.
This purchase, one of the largest in India's IT services sector, gives EDS access to more than 11,000 India-based employees skilled in advanced applications development, business process outsourcing/customer relationship management services and emerging technologies.
As EDS and MphasiS begin to work together, clients will quickly discover the advantages of their highly complementary capabilities. EDS, with its broad services portfolio and global infrastructure, now will offer clients enhanced scale and scope in Applications and BPO services through its new relationship with MphasiS. And together with MphasiS, EDS will also provide heightened focus in key industries, such as financial services, healthcare and manufacturing.
The MphasiS transaction supports EDS' Global Best ShoreSM delivery strategy, which provides a full range of high-quality, cost-competitive services from designated onshore, near-shore and offshore locations. EDS launched its Best Shore strategy in 2002 to highlight this distinctive delivery capability.
What is EDS' Best Shore(SM) Delivery Strategy?
Best Shore is a key component of EDS' unique Global Delivery Model, providing Applications, Business Process Outsourcing and Information Technology Outsourcing services from designated onshore, near-shore and offshore locations worldwide.
EDS "service-marked" Best ShoreSM to highlight our global capabilities and capacity to provide clients with delivery options that meet their changing business needs.
