JBoss, which was funded as indicated in this post , is begining to flex its muscles, the Professional Open Source company, today announced the expansion of its operations with offices in London, UK and Bangalore, India. The expansion comes as the company scales to meet growing enterprise customer demand for the JBoss(R) Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS(TM)) in the European and Asian markets. With these key offices, JBoss can more effectively deliver services, including 24x7 production support and training, to customers.

Marc Fleury, chairman and CEO, JBoss, Inc. "This most recent expansion of the company underscores the strength and growth of JBoss' business in Europe, which has quadrupled in the last 12 months, as well as the emerging business we are winning in Asia, where the market opportunity is immense."

The London office, managed by Steve Raby, director of sales and business development, will be sales headquarters for JBoss EMEA,

The Bangalore office will be critical to JBoss' 24x7 production support business and will provide the company with a launch pad into the booming software development market in the region. JBoss appointed Subramaniam Satyamoorthy as director of operations and service.

Together with Softpro Systems, a premier JBoss Authorized Service Partner (JASP) based in Hyderabad, JBoss will promote Professional Open Source as a safe choice for enterprises and the public sector across the Asia-Pacific region.
