Interview with IBM's CIO
Filed in archive CIO by Scott Wilson on December 21, 2007
Interestingly, though not surprisingly, Hennessy's take on the role of the CIO in organizations as IT becomes more pervasive is that it will take on even greater importance. If you've read this blog for very long at all you probably know I have a different view, but perhaps not so different; the CIO, if indeed he is still called that, will be every bit as important as your company electrician or building maintenance guy. Oh, your company doesn't have one of those? Outsourced, you say? Interesting. How can you possibly get any work done without someone on staff to take care of something as ubiquitous and important as electricity?
